Sonometer

A Sonometer essentially consists of a metal wire stretched over the bridges. One end of the wire is fixed on one end of the sonometer while the other passes over a friction less pulley and is stretched under a constant tension.

Solar cell

A solar cell is an electronic device that catches sunlight and turns it directly into electricity. It's about the size of an adult's palm, octagonal in shape, and colored bluish black.

LCR Circuit

LCR circuit comprises of inductor, conductor and resistor.

Maxwell's Needle

In this experiment we determine the value of modulus of rigidity of the given wire by a dynamical method using Maxwell's Needle.

Halls Effect

When a magnetic field is applied perpendicular to a current carrying conductor, a voltage is developed across the conductor in the direction perpendicular to both current and magnetic field. The voltage developed is known as Hall Voltage and this effect is called Hall Effect.

Band Gap

In this experiment we determine the band gap between intrinsic semiconductors using four probe method.

Band Gap

Flywheel

In this experiment we can determine the moment of inertia of a flywheel with the help of slotted weight provided with a hanger, a strong and thin cotton string.
